Abruem Forum: Technical Board of Online Learning discusses administrative and pedagogical objectives
With a schedule designed to meet the demands of municipal and state higher education institutions associated to Abruem, a presentation of the Technical Board of Online Learning, presided by the Rector of the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), Dilmar Baretta, reinitiated the work of the 69th Abruem Forum, on this Thursday afternoon, May 25.
Related to the central theme of the event, “Objectives and Sustainable Development (ODS)”, professor Carlos Willians Jaques Morais, from the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) explained the actions to secure an inclusive, equal and good education, apart from promoting learning opportunities through everyone’s lives, as states the United Nations’ action plan, which states the goals proposed for the form.
The Sustainable Development Goals are a part of the “2030 Agenda”, a global pact signed during the 2015 United Nation’s Assembly, by the 193 countries. The Agenda is made up of 17 ambitious and interconnected goals, sub developed in 169 points, with a focus in overcoming the main developmental challenges faced by people in Brazil and across the world, promoting sustainable global growth until 2030.
During his speech, Carlos Willians instigated those in attendance to reflect on the current role of universities, in fulfilling goals to an inclusive education: “this makes us think of what kind of education we are bringing and what we are doing as a University to give opportunities so that men and women can get their diploma; this is our mission as an institution”, he mentions.
Also on the board, the representative of the State University of Maranhão (UEMA), professor Dr. Lígia Tchaicka talked about the Eskada Platform, used by the institution, with great access for the indigenous population. In a sustainable development perspective, Lígia completed talking about the modules proposed in UN’s plan to face the biggest challenges in the world until 2030.
