A Universidade de Rio Verde - UniRV realiza, de 24 a 27 de maio, a 69ª edição do Fórum Nacional da Associação Brasileira de Reitoras e Reitores das Universidades Municipais e Estaduais (Abruem). Cerca de 45 instituições de 20 estados brasileiros já confirmaram presença para a edição que terá como tema "Os objetivos do desenvolvimento sustentável nas instituições associadas". A realização do Fórum na UniRV foi definida no ano passado, durante a 68ª edição do evento, em Curitiba (PR), onde o Reitor, professor Alberto Barella Netto, defendeu a candidatura da Universidade de Rio Verde como sede.

A Abruem foi criada em 1991, sendo atualmente uma das mais importantes organizações do Ensino Superior Brasileiro e da América Latina. Atuando diretamente em 22 Estados do Brasil, por meio de suas 47 universidades associadas, a Associação busca aprofundar as discussões sobre temas prioritários para a agenda do Ensino Superior, sempre almejando a harmonia entre "Ensino, Pesquisa, Extensão, Inovação e Internacionalização".

Entidade jurídica de direito privado sem fins lucrativos, a Abruem atende a milhares de alunos, em todos os níveis do Ensino Superior, nas modalidades: presencial, semipresencial e a distância. Com assento em diversos conselhos e órgãos consultivos estaduais e federais, a Associação tem, na interiorização do ensino universitário, uma de suas principais bandeiras. É uma defensora da causa da internacionalização, promovendo, anualmente, diversas ações que envolvem missões ao exterior, acordos de cooperação, encontros diplomáticos e tantos outros compromissos de importante envergadura.

A edição que começa nesta quarta será realizada no Centro de Convenções da UniRV e terá como palestras: “O compromisso social das universidades públicas”; “O papel das universidades públicas na formação de cidadãos globais: uma visão a partir dos objetivos de desenvolvimento sustentável da ONU e dos direitos humanos”; “Mitigação da evasão por meio da permanência eficaz” e “A retomada política da Pós-graduação da CAPES”.

O evento também será uma oportunidade para personalidades do ensino superior brasileiro estreitarem laços e realizarem ações de cooperação mútua: “Receber a 69ª edição do Fórum é motivo de muita honra e orgulho para toda a Universidade de Rio Verde; é a grande oportunidade de mostrar que nossa Instituição se preocupa com as universidades coirmãs na luta pelo fortalecimento de todas e em benefício do ensino superior”, afirma o Reitor, professor Alberto Barella.

The 69^th Abruem National Forum starts this Wednesday

The University of Rio Verde – UniRV hosts, from May 24 to 27, the 69^th edition of the National Forum of the Brazilian Association of Municipal and State University Rectors (Abruem). Around 45 institutions from 20 Brazilian states have already confirmed their attendance to this edition that will have the theme “Goals of sustainable development in associated institutions”. Hosting the Forum at UniRV was decided last year, during the 68^th edition, in Curitiba (PR), where the Rector Alberto Barella Netto defended the candidacy of the University of Rio Verde as the hosting institution.

Abruem was created in 1991, currently one of the most important organizations for higher education in Brazil and Latin America. Nowadays it works directly in 22 states in Brazil, through one of its 47 associated universities, the Association looks to deepen the discussions on priority themes for the Higher Education agenda, always seeking harmony between “Teaching, Research, Extension, Innovation and Internationalization”.

A non-profit legal entity governed by private law, Abruem serves thousands of students, in all levels of higher education, in-attendance, mixed and online. With a seat on several state and federal councils and advisory bodies, the Association has, in interiorization of university education, one of its flagships. It is a defender of internationalization, promoting, annually, several actions that involve missions abroad, cooperation agreements, diplomatic meetings and several other important appointments.

The edition that starts this Wednesday will be held in the UniRV Convention Center and will have lectures such as: “The social commitment of public universities”; “The role of public universities in forming global citizens: a view from UN’s sustainable development goals and human rights”; “Mitigating student evasion through efficient permanence” and “The return of CAPES Post-Graduation policies”.

The event will also be an opportunity for Brazilian higher education personalities to strengthen bonds and achieve mutual cooperation actions: “Hosting the 69^th edition of the Forum is a reason for honor and pride for the entire University of Rio Verde; it is the great opportunity to show that our Institution is concerned with its sister universities in the fight to strengthen all of them and in benefit of higher education”, states the Rector, professor Alberto Barella.
