O professor Dr. Leonardo Montes Lopes, docente do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade de Rio Verde, publicou um artigo na Revista Biblioteca Escolar em Revista da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). O artigo, intitulado “Biblioteca Escolar no contexto do Projeto Palavras Andantes: a importância da coletividade e de políticas públicas para a consolidação do leitor – um estudo em bibliotecas do sul do Brasil”, faz apontamentos referentes à importância do espaço da biblioteca escolar e destaca políticas públicas como meio de promoção das práticas de leitura e formação de leitores.

 

O artigo também aponta que as bibliotecas escolares necessitam de investimentos, de envolvimento comunitário e do poder público, no sentido de ampliar e fortalecer o acesso à leitura e à informação. De acordo com a publicação, ao se promover atividades para a formação de leitores, tem-se, como premissa, o fortalecimento da cultura e do conhecimento. 

 

Investindo na capacitação do corpo docente por meio de programas de pós-graduação, em nível mestrado e doutorado, a Universidade de Rio Verde tem se destacado no cenário nacional de produção científica. Para o Reitor, professor Alberto Barella, a publicação fortalece a pesquisa na instituição e incentiva novas produções: “A expansão da pesquisa é muito importante, principalmente dentro de um centro de ensino. Ver o empenho e o comprometimento dos nossos docentes é fundamental para o desenvolvimento da instituição e da sociedade como um todo”, comenta o Reitor.

UniRV professor publishes article in USP Magazine

Pedagogy professor Dr. Leonardo Montes Lopes of the University of Rio Verde, published an article in the School Library Magazine a magazine from the University of São Paulo (USP). The article intitled “School Libraries in the context of Palavras Andantes Project: the importance of collectivity and public policies to consolidate readers – a study in libraries in the south of Brazil” talks about the importance of the space of school libraries, and highlight the importance of public policies designed for the school library space, as a means of promoting reading practices in reading and forming readers.

The article also points out that school libraries need investments, in addition, it is important to involve the community and public power, in the sense of broadening and strengthening these environments through projects and efficient public policies whose goal is to give access to reading and information, apart from activities designed for the formation of readers through collectivity and mediation strategies, having as its premise the strengthening of culture and knowledge.

Stimulating and investing in the capacitation of the teaching body by enabling Master’s and Doctorate post-graduation programs, the University of Rio Verde has come into the limelight in the Higher Education scenario. For the Rector, professor Alberto Barella, the publication strengthens research in the institution and incentivizes new ones. “The expansion of research is very important, mainly inside a teaching center. Watching the effort and commitment from our professors is key for the development of the institution and society as a whole”, comments the Rector.
