O Reitor da UniRV, professor Alberto Barella, participou, nesta segunda-feira, 08 de maio, da abertura oficial do V Encontro Internacional de Reitores Universia. O Congresso ocorre até o dia 10, em Valência, na Espanha, e tem como foco o papel da universidade como força motriz para o desenvolvimento socioeconômico mais sustentável, dentro da temática “Universidade e Sociedade”.

 

 

A Universia é uma rede que conecta universidades de língua hispânica e portuguesa espalhadas pelo mundo e conta com o apoio do Banco Santander, que investe em ações que contribuem para o ensino superior há mais de 25 anos, possibilitando o desenvolvimento de uma sociedade mais sustentável e inclusiva.

 

Reunindo aproximadamente 700 reitores e líderes universitários de 14 países, o Encontro promove debates em torno de três eixos temáticos: formação ao longo da vida; empreendedorismo e inovação; redes e interconexão. Com uma programação extensa voltada ao aprimoramento de saberes e à troca de informações entre os reitores para o desenvolvimento de estratégias e programas que atendam às necessidades educacionais, a quinta edição do evento transformou, nesta semana, a cidade de Valência na capital mundial da educação superior.

 

 

Neste ano, o evento representa cerca de 14 milhões de universitários de todo o mundo e dá continuidade às edições anteriores, realizadas na Espanha, no Brasil e no México. O evento, comandado pela presidente do Banco Santander e da Universia, Ana Botín, contará ainda com a participação de convidados especiais, entre eles, o físico espanhol e vencedor do Prêmio Príncipe de Astúrias 2006, Ignacio Cirac. Também estará no evento o Economista, Reitor e Ex-secretário do Tesouro dos Estados Unidos, Larry Summers.

 

O Reitor da UniRV, professor Alberto Barella; o Pró-Reitor da Pós-Graduação, Claudemir Bertuolo Furnielis; e o Coordenador da Assessoria de Comunicação, professor Ricardo Padilha, cumprem uma agenda de visitas à Instituições de Ensino Superior na Espanha desde o início deste mês, reforçando o intercâmbio cultural, avançando no processo de internacionalização e firmando parcerias em prol da comunidade acadêmica e dos servidores da Instituição local.

 

 

“A participação da nossa Universidade no V Encontro Internacional de Reitores é importante para destacar o nosso compromisso com o avanço da educação. As trocas de experiências tornam as nossas relações internacionais ainda mais fortes e sólidas. Professor Alberto Barella participates of the V Universia International Rectors’ Summit

UniRV’s Rector, professor Alberto Barella, participated, this Monday, May 8, of the official opening of the V Universia International Rectors’ Summit. The Congress takes place until May 10, in Valencia, Spain, and has as its main focus the university’s role as a moving force for a more sustainable socioeconomic development, inside the theme “University and Society”.

Universia is a network that connects Spanish and Portuguese speaking universities spread around the world and it has the support of Santander Bank, which invests in actions that contribute to higher education for over 25 years, enabling the development of a more sustainable and inclusive society.

Gathering approximately 700 rectors and university leaders from 14 countries, the Summit promotes debates around three themes: formation throughout life; entrepreneurship and innovation; networks and interconnection. With an extensive schedule designed for knowledge improvement and information exchange between rectors for the development of strategies and programs that meet educational needs, the fifth edition of the event transformed the city of Valencia into the higher education capital of the world this week.

This year, the event represents around 14 million universities across the world and continues the previous editions, carried out in Spain, Brazil and Mexico. The event, commandeered by the ´president of Santander Bank and Universia, Ana Botín, will still have the participation of special guests, among them, the Spanish Physicist recipient of the 2006 Astúrias Prince Award, Ignacio Cirac. Someone who will also be at the event is the Economist, Rector and former United States Secretary of the Treasury, Larry Summers.

UniRV’s Rector, professor Alberto Barella; the Pro-Rector of Post-Graduation, Claudemir Bertuolo Furnielis; the Coordinator of the Communication Department, professor Ricardo Padilha, follow a visitation schedule to Spanish Higher Education Institutions since the beginning of this month, reinforcing cultural exchange, advancing the internationalization process and establishing partnerships in the benefit of the academic community and of the local Institution’s staff members.

The exchange of experiences makes our international relations even stronger and more solid. It is a mission to spread UniRV’s name to the world”, emphasizes the Rector, professor Alberto Barella.
