Staff members and academics get Covid-19 and Influenza vaccines next Tuesday

Thinking of providing a practical and fast environment for immunizations, as well as minimizing viruses and preventing further complications, thus reducing symptoms, as well as reducing the overload of health workers, the University of Rio Verde will carry out, next Tuesday, May 2, the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 and Influenza for staff members and academics.

The action should immunize around 800 staff members. To get vaccinated, just show up at the Convention Center from 8am to 11am and from 2pm to 5pm, carrying photo ID. Only staff members and health area student will be able to get vaccinated against Influenza.

It is important to remember the people who are suspected of being sick with Covid-19 and other infectious diseases cannot get vaccinated and people should respect a window period between the application of the Covid-19 and flu vaccines. Those who have gotten two doses at least four months ago will be vaccinated against Covid. “We are prioritizing the health and well-being of the entire UniRV family, because of that we seek actions that can facilitate the access to immunization”, pondered the Rector, professor Alberto Barella Netto.
