UniRV officially debuts its booth’s programming at Tecnoshow Comigo 2023

In front of academics, professors and guests connected to agribusiness, the University of Rio Verde debuted, this Monday morning, March 27, the programming of its 2023 Tecnoshow booth. The celebratory edition of the biggest Technological Fair in Latin America takes place in the same month UniRV celebrates its 50^th anniversary. This month, the Institution also celebrates, with the fair, a partnership that was born in the very first edition of the event, in 2002, a period when UniRV’s researches already offered a meaningful contribution to local and regional agribusiness.

The place is full of attractions to receive visitors and, this week, will work as the main “classroom” for many academics in the Agrarian courses. This year, the booth approaches “Bioinputs” as its theme and offers lectures and agriculture plots to show, practically, how a soybean crop works. There will also be a roundtable covering “managing opening areas: soil preparation, fertilizing, soil biology and plant positioning”. The roundtable will be moderated by professors who are specialists on the topic and they will discuss what is most modern in the agriculture market.

During his speech, the Faculty of Agronomy, professor Dr. Paulo Fernandes Boldrin, commented that the space was really planned and had the contribution of many people: “This preparation is the result of the union of many to offer the public at Tecnoshow better-quality information. Thanks to the UniRV family for their dedication and thanks to professor Alberto Barella for the support that he always gives us.”

With a similar speech regarding the importance of teamwork in preparing the booth, the director of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, professor Dr. Tales Dias do Prado, restated: “Thanks to the academics and fellow professors for the dedication and to the university’s administration, in the person of professor Barella, for making it possible for another UniRV participation at Tecnoshow”, stated Tales.

On behalf of Tecnoshow, the Research coordinator for CTC, Eduardo Hara, congratulated the University for its 50^th anniversary. He mentioned the partnership that dates back to the beginning of the fair and the important contribution of the institution in forming professionals for the agribusiness market: “First, I want to congratulate UniRV for its 50^th anniversary. In the 20 years of Tecnoshow and 48 years of COmigo, we can see that our stories intertwine in many moments and that strengthen the Brazilian agribusiness. May our partnership continue over the next years, bringing good results to professionals and agribusiness”.

Representing the Rector, professor Alberto Barella Netto, the Vice-Rector and Pro-Rector of Graduation, professor Dr. Arício Vieira da Silva, highlighted UniRV participation in the fair: “Today is very important day for the University of Rio Verde. I am proud of being a part of this celebratory edition that celebrates our traditional partnership with Tecnoshow. We are thankful for the opportunity of, once again, bringing knowledge and fomenting research, which contributes for the development of our region”.

Over the last few weeks, the booth has been a space for learning for the UniRV academics who actively dedicated themselves to the activities that are planned for this edition. During the next few days, they will have the opportunity of showing the results of their work to visitors. Lara Borges de Queiroz, from the first period of Veterinary Medicine, took the opportunity to learn, in the field, what she had learned in the classroom: “Here, I’m learning a lot about artificial insemination and deliveries, a subject I like and that adds a lot of knowledge to my course”, she stated.

Another first period student, Loanda Vieira Santana, is on her way to accomplishing her childhood dream: becoming a vet. Because of this, she intends on taking advantage of the experience of the booth to learn more about big animals, which shall contribute for her to choose, in the future, an area she might like to work with: “We have gotten a lot of support from our professors, who have shown us many new things here”, she comments.

Mateus Alberto Freitas Martins, a first semester Agronomy student, had the opportunity of watching to a class at UniRV’s booth at Tecnoshow this morning: This experience is being really good and it will certainly add a lot of knowledge to my career. Since the first period, being in touch with the field and with specialized professionals is very important”, he adds.

Jullia Souza Guimarães is in the first semester of Agronomy and already works in an agribusiness company. In her opinion the Fair represents an extension of the classroom: “When I started to work in the area, I was sure that I wanted to study Agronomy at UniRV, because of the great professors and the facilities of the Faculty of Agronomy. Here, at the booth, I want to mostly enjoy the lectures”, she shared.

Someone who encourages and foments the research presented at the 2023 Tecnoshow and who is aware of UniRV’s contribution for agribusiness, the Rector, professor Alberto Barella, adds that, this year, the booth’s space increased. He also highlights that the chosen theme is extremely current, for it discusses productivity aligned to sustainability: “Tecnoshow is always an opportunity to align the knowledge universe to the pulsing agribusiness scenario of Rio Verde and the Goiás Southwest. Our space, that will offer lectures, agriculture plot presentations and an important roundtable, reinforces our commitment to Tecnoshow and its visitors. Our programming will last until Friday and everyone is invited to visit us: it will be a great pleasure to welcome you all”, finishes the Rector.
