Preparation courses create a methodology for UniRV’s Medicine Admission Exam

Being a student of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rio Verde – UniRV is a dream to many students, some of which spend years preparing to guarantee a place in the Admission Exam. So much dedication can be easily explained given the number of candidates that apply to the Institution’s Admission Exams. All of them attracted to the University’s good name, acknowledgement in the national scene and the infrastructure offered to Medicine students.

In last year’s Admission Exam alone UniRV got around 15 thousand applications for the Campuses of Rio Verde, Aparecida, Formosa, Goianésia and Luziânia. And it not a new thing for the admission process to draw attention. Everyday more in the spotlight, the University is creating an expansion in preparation courses designed around the institution’s tests, that look to provide guidance on how to study, organizing summaries and having a specific focus on the questions of the desired test.

Billboards, radio, tv and social media ads are some of the strategies used to draw in students that wish to enter the Institution and want to prepare themselves in advance, trying to have a good performance in the test in order to start going through the six-year graduation journey. The Rio Verde Campus Medicine student, Marcelo Augusto Costa is one of the students that decided to invest in a preparation course to help out in his studies and focus on the criteria used in UniRV’s Admission Exams. The excited young man talks about the future profession, talks about his dream and guarantees that the dedication to achieve one’s dreams is worth it. “I’ve always wanted to study Medicine in UniRV, I prepared myself through all these years because I know the Institution’s importance, which draws in candidates from all over the country, increasing the competition,” he said.

Marcelo was accepted in UniRV on the second semester of 2022. Today, officially a part of the Medicine course, the student participates in advertising campaigns of the preparation course, which proudly flaunts the achievement of one of the highly coveted places in the University of Rio Verde. The market for class on YouTube also has its space. The videos answer doubts of the Public Notice, give out tips on the essays or affirm they say “everything regarding UniRV’s Admission Exam”. They make the platform a new studying tool, increasing its views every day.

According to the coordinator of the Department of Relationships and New Businesses, Dr. Leninne Guimarães Freitas, the entire state offers preparation courses for the admission exam. During the admission period there are caravans that bring students to UniRV. “It extremely rewarding to us to know that there are specific courses that prepare candidates for our tests. This shows the strength and recognition of the University of Rio Verde throughout the entire country.”

Currently UniRV’s tests are made up of two true or false question in each subject, exploring all levels of difficulty, having as its highlight, the essay correction, which follows specific criteria and does not accept quotations. For the Rector, professor Alberto Barella, the recognition of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rio Verde is a product of hard work developed in conjunction with the administrative and pedagogical staff. “Each admission exam done we beat a new record. On the last one we had 73.5 candidates for every available position in Aparecida Campus and 68.75 in Rio Verde, significant numbers that show our potential as a Higher Education Institution. Seeing new learning resources being used as a preparation method for our exams show the recognition of a job well done by so many of us.” He concluded.
