Software Engineering Academic Week highlights what is new in the field

Looking to provide integration between students, publicize new technologies and incentivize participants to be in contact with practical activities, the Faculty of Software Engineering is carrying out its Academic Week: SESOFT. The event takes place from May 29 to June 1.

A roundtable with two UniRV professors, Ms. Clarissa Camargo and Ms. Ana Maiara Rodrigues, and by two entrepreneurs, Lorena Carvalho and Ricardo Castro, was one of the attractions of the second night of the event, which tried to highlight the concepts of community in a laid-back conversation. Emphasizing the networks between companies, investors, young talented people and the government, the lecturers shared their knowledge to awaken the public’s interest in integrating the community, discuss innovation and offer better technologies to the local population.

“This is a very important event for all of us, so, I want to thank everybody who registered, once again. The goal of SESOFT is to connect the participants to the novelties in the marketplace”, comments the director of the course, Ms. João Dionísio Paraíba. Demonstrating that having a career plan and writing down strategies to fulfill those goals is a very important step to develop oneself in their area of work, the Business Partner, Catarine Sales was also one of the highlights of the second day of the event. The specialist in Selection and Recruiting, Catarine Sales, approached the opportunities and professional paths that young academics and graduates can take.
