Students from the Bom Pastor School delight the public with a Pasion of Christ reenactment
On the morning of this Thursday, March 30, the students of the Bom Pastor Special Studies School made everybody in attendance very emotional at the Convention Center of the University of Rio Verde – UniRV with a Pasion of Christ reenactment. The school promoted the presentation as a part of its Easter activities. With a lot of dedication and hard work, students rehearsed for weeks to guarantee that the presentation happened perfectly.
It is the second time that the students have presented at UniRV. The reenactment, that is already becoming a tradition, had the participation of dozens of students, that divided themselves for the roles such as Jesus, Mary, the apostles and roman soldiers. For the school manager, Rosângela Silva de Morais, apart from promoting the socialization of students, the reenactment is a great opportunity for the students to show their talents and feel valued: “The preparation process for the play was marked by the excitement of coming back to UniRV presenting such a beautiful spectacle. They are excited and have really dedicated themselves in the rehearsals”.
The opening of the curtains showed the great surprise that was to come. With a flawless characterization and use of sound effects to compose the spectacle, the public was able to follow Jesus’s trajectory, since his entrance in Jerusalem, to his death and resurrection. Demonstrating all the affection and care to the students, the professors helped the artists with the script and each line had even more strength stemming from the students’ interpretation.
The presentation, which lasted for about an hour, moved the crowd, that followed attentively each scene of the spectacle. For the academics in the third period of the Faculty of Dentistry, it was har not being moved. “It is always good to learn and remember history. I am grateful in watching a presentation as beautiful as this one”, highlights Pedro Tavares. “I find it very moving seeing the effort of the students from the Bom Pastor School, it is interesting and really motivates me. They have a special place in my heart” says the academic, Nayelle Cristina. At the end of the presentation, the student “actors” got a round of applause and compliments from the public, that was delighted by the spectacle.
“Once again, the presentation was a success. Apart from being a moment for celebrating Easter, the Pasion of Christ reenactment also showed all the talent of the students. This is a very important partnership that moves the entire university community. Congratulations!”, commented UniRV’s Rector, professor Alberto Barella.
