Signature of the service order marks the beginning of constructions of the Administrative Complex
Always looking at people and a management designed to offer improvements to the working environment, the Rector of the University of Rio Verde, professor Alberto Barella Netto, got together, on the morning of this Friday, March 3rd, with some of the university’s administrative workers in order to celebrate the signature of the service order with Verc Constructuin and begin construction of UniRV’s new Administrative Complex.
In a festive environment over the 50th anniversary, that will be completed on March 19th, the meeting reveled many new things, including the announcement of the beginning of the construction, that will directly impact the career of each staff member, and provide to the students a better experience, since all departments will be unified. “This project was devised for the staff members, in retribution to all their dedication and commitment to the University. It is time that we have a home that matches the level of work of each and every one of you”, stated Barella.
To present the construction project, an interactive video was shown so that every one in attendance could get to know the structure. With modern architecture and technological innovations, the place will have 8800 square meter of constructed area and will house all the administrative departments, as well as the Rectory and Pro-Rectories. One of the biggest concerns in planning the complex was building a completely integrated environment, making it more welcoming and permitting the entire staff to be in just one place.
With a sustainable concept, the Administrative complex will have its interior built entirely out of glass and plaster, that, aside from not generating environmental waste and shortening construction time, still allows for the use of natural lighting. The sustainable project still features a “green ceiling”, that uses Biophilic Design, which makes it possible to reconnect people to the natural environment, promoting a healthier and more productive workspace.
Thinking of the everyday life of both staff and students, that will have to attend the building to sort out matters related to university life, a special gardening will be developed in the circulation areas, leaving the environment cooler, more humane and with a pleasant view for everyone. With regards to beauty, the complex entrance will offer the community a green square with an array of different plants and a wide lawn.
With organic forms and pathways, the building will allow the university community to observe many parts of the city, such as the Walderes Souza de Oliveira (Dezinho) Park, in Residencial Interlagos. To access higher floors, the building will offer accessibility through ramps and panoramic elevators, that will allow for a view of the entire building interior.
One of the most interesting parts of the building will be its side dome, which will offer a real tour through the building. There, one will be able to see every floor and department without actually having to go inside. Apart from that, there will be meeting rooms, a terrace with space for an observatory and an ornamental lake that will promote integration with nature.
Regarding functionality, all the furniture was planned to the demands of each sector. Energy will be completely renewable because of a solar powerplant that will power the entire campus. The building will also have a parking lot.
The signing of the order of service was applauded by everyone in attendance and celebrated as an acknowledgment. “Since I took office, I made the commitment to look at people. Our staff is what makes the Institution the powerhouse and reference it is today, so, this project reflects all our emotion and care towards each staff member,” stated the Rector.
This festive moment had the presence of the Vice-Rector, Dr. Arício Vieira da Silva, the Pro-Rectors: Dr. Claudemir Bertuolo Furnielis (Post-Graduation); Dr. Carlos César Evangelista de Menezes (Research and Innovation); Me. Vanessa Renata Molinero de Paula (Extension and Culture); Dr. Elton Brás Camargo Júnior (Student Affairs); Dr. Sebastião Lázaro Pereira (Business and Planning) e Me. Viviane Aprigio Prado e Silva (Attorney-General), as well as the Secretary-General, Mirlene Guimarães Castro Meireles.
