Candidates take the Medicine Admissions Exam for the Rio Verde Campus

The movement in Block 6 started even before the gates were opened. Most candidates preferred to arrive a little ahead of time at the test site and guarantee access to the classroom and the beginning of the “fight” for one of the 75 positions for the Rio Verde Campus. But among the 3,500 applicants, there were also some remaining ones who had to make a little dash to get in before doors closed promptly at 1 pm. The Medicine Admissions Exam of the University of Rio Verde – UniRV has already become traditional and is part of the list of the main Brazilian Universities listed by those who want to study to become a doctor. With about 15,000 applicants from 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District, it represents a historic record for all previous entrance exams.

To welcome the candidates and cheer that everyone can perform well in the test, the medical students who are part of the “Cianotics cheerleaders” made everyone happy with a performance of athletic skills, dancing, jumping and the group's official song. Several family members and friends were also part of the cheering team, following closely and giving the necessary support to keep anxiety and nervousness under control, after all, nothing better than receiving a warm hug from one's parents before entering the test, or even that vote confidence that everything will work out.

Seeking a place in the class that will start in 2023, Lucas Caetano de Almeida came from the city of Formosa, and with the encouragement of his mother and friends who already study medicine at UniRV, the candidate is quite confident. “Some friends invited me to take the test, and it's a very renowned campus, which I really liked, so I decided to take the test for all Campuses. I am very hopeful and, God willing, it will work out for the next semester,” commented the candidate.

If the University had a surname, it would certainly be tradition, and this custom of doing things well also applies to the way in which it is concerned with the candidate's experience, since their application till the moment of taking the test, guaranteeing a peaceful scenario and favorable to the total commitment of each one, a scenario that was reinforced with the creation of a space to receive the family while waiting for the end of the tests. “I really liked the structure of the University, very welcoming staff and if it works out for my son to pass he can come and enroll, it is a very good University,” commented Cléber Antônio de Frutal, Minas Gerais.

The Rector, Professor Alberto Barella Netto, was also there to welcome those who had registered and closely monitor their reception. “Once again, the University of Rio Verde broke the application record for our Medicine Admissions Exam, with 15,000 candidates and for us at UniRV it is a day of great joy, as we are receiving candidates from all Brazilian states and it crowns our work of all our staff and professors, in offering quality education in all Faculties of Medicine. Welcome everyone and good test,” commented Alberto Barella.
