UniRV holds inaugural class for the Security Forces post-graduation
As a result of a partnership between the University of Rio Verde – UniRV, through the Pro-Rector of Porst-Graduation and the Municipal Security Forces, the first class of the Lato Sensu Specialization Course in Public Security and Criminal Investigation was held in the evening of this Friday, September 23rd, with the presence of the Pro-Rector, Dr. Claudemir Bertuolo Furnielis; of Delegates Dr. Danilo Fabiano Carvalho e Oliveira Head of the 8th Civil Police Station and Dr. Jaqueline Camargo Machado de Queiroz Sielskis, Head of the Specialized in Assistance to Women Police Station (DEAM); of Vice-Rector Dr. Aricio Vieira da Silva and Lieutenant Colonel Amilton de Souza Conceição, commander of the Fire Department.
The partnership, conceived by several people, with the objective of providing Security Force staff an updated course, was sealed with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement, on September 12th. Altogether 35 Civil Police employees; Military police; Prison Police; Scientific Technical Police; Fire Department and Municipal Guard of Rio Verde were approved in the selection process and participated in the first meeting. In his speech, the host thanked the partnership and reinforced the importance of the specialization that will culminate in benefits for public safety in the city. “Today is a very important day and we are happy to welcome you all. Thank you very much for the partnership and trust. This specialization was designed more than a year ago so that a course could be offered that would meet the demands,” added Bertuolo.
The Lato Sensu Specialization in Public Security and Criminal Investigation will last up to 15 months, with in attendance classes and classes mediated by technology, totaling a workload of 360 hours, plus the course conclusion work, which contemplates the solution to a practical problem through theory. To receive those selected, the Delegate specializing in cybercrimes, Dr. Sabrina Lelis taught the first postgraduate module. “I appreciate the willingness of each of the employees who signed up to increasingly seek scientific knowledge to serve the community. On behalf of everyone I want to thank UniRV for the partnership,” added Danilo Fabiano.
Also during the course, modules such as Criminal Investigation; Public Security Management; Criminology; Criminal Intelligence and Violence, crime and social control will be part of the qualification of the students, thus seeking to understand, in an interdisciplinary way, the set of knowledge necessary for the practical performance and theoretical support of the staff members of the Security Force, in addition to delving into the legal aspects and of the organizational structure of the Brazilian Public Security system, as well as relating the role of Public Security in the midst of constant technological innovations, which are used both by criminals and by professionals responsible for solving crimes and analyzing the latest criminal investigation techniques by the police and the defense.A Universidade de Rio Verde vem se consolidando como protagonista na promoção da inovação e do desenvolvimento tecnológico em Rio Verde...
